Aloha Everyone! Anyone heard of CVS? No, not the drugstore chain. It stands for (Computer Vision Syndrome). Symptoms of CVS include blurred vision, headaches, and dry or irritated eyes. Being that I work in front of a computer all day long I was very interested in the Gunnar MLG Phantom glasses.
The glasses claim to help your eyes see what colors are naturally easy to view, so that at the end of your session your eyes have less fatigue. I decided to order a pair and try them out for myself.
When they came it I was really excited. Being that I didn’t want to have the placebo effect come into play I decided to test this out in a few ways. The first was to try it for 2 hours and then without them. Then I would take a break and try them again for 2 hours, take a break, and try them without them. Then another few days I would try it without the glasses for half the day, and the other half I would try it. This went on for about 2 weeks just to make sure I was really giving them a full test. Well, the results so far have been fantastic. I actually never had the symptoms of headaches, but would occasionally get dry eyes or blurred vision. After using these glasses those symptoms have gone away.
Just wanted to point out that my monitors I’ve used them with are the more reflective variety with natural lighting. I did try them out with monitors that weren’t reflective too.
Overall, I was very happy with these glasses would recommend them. Again, like everything else your results may vary, but I do hope they work out for you. If you do give them a try let me know if it works or doesn’t work for you and why. Happy Black Friday Everyone!!!
